Dr. Tony Williams EdS, PhD(h.c.) of Caddo Parish named Armiger of Clan Bailey

Dr. Tony Williams has recently been recognized as an official Armiger of the Irish Clan Bailey,

marking a formal acknowledgment of his right to bear heraldic arms under established traditions

of the clan and heraldry. Within Clan Bailey, armigers are individuals whose coats of arms are

registered, assumed, or inherited, reflecting both lineage and personal distinction. This status

places Williams among a select body of recognized heraldic bearers within the clan’s modern

governance and cultural structure.

Beyond heraldry, Dr. Williams also holds historic manorial titles as the 14th Lord of the Manor of

Packwoods and the 14th Lord of the Manor of Skeeby. Such titles originate from the medieval

English manorial system, where lords held rights over land, resources, and certain feudal

privileges. While modern manorial lordships no longer confer governmental authority, they

remain recognized as enduring legal and historical dignities linking present day holders to

centuries of English history and heritage.

Williams is also an active leader in the Scottish society arena and is an executive board

member of the House of Gordon USA, where he serves as Treasurer and Scholarship Chair. In

these roles, he supports clan cultural initiatives, oversees financial stewardship, and leads

scholarship programs that promote heritage, education, and youth engagement. His leadership

within the House of Gordon USA reflects years of dedication to Scottish heritage organizations

and community-building efforts.

A U.S. Army veteran with more than two decades of service, Williams continues his commitment

to public duty beyond the military. He is currently running for elective office in Caddo Parish,

Louisiana, as a Justice of the Peace, seeking to bring his experience in leadership, fiscal

responsibility, and civic service to local government. His combined record of military service,

cultural leadership, historical distinction, and community involvement underscores a career

defined by tradition, honor, and ongoing public engagement.
